2021 Honda Accord MRP
A frequent winner of awards from prestigious publications such as U.S. News and World Report and Kelley Blue Book, the Honda Accord has thrived for decades and served as a benchmark for other midsize sedans. It should come as no surprise that the 2021 models earned the accolades from Kelley Blue Book simply because it does everything right and has enough amenities to satisfy almost any discerning customer. Ike Honda is a proud dealer of the 2021 Honda Accord. View our new Honda specials and Honda Accord offers to get started.
After discontinuing the EX trim for the 2021 model year and adding the Sport Special Edition trim, Honda keeps the same number of Accord sedan trims available at five. These trims include the LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX-L, and Touring. Selecting the Accord hybrid decreases the number of available trims to four: Hybrid, EX, EX-L, and Touring.
Many other midsize sedans have become over-styled over the years, yet the Honda Accord maintains a more conservative appearance. All trims except the base LX receive new LED headlights for improved illumination and the fog light housings are smaller. When looking at the Accord from behind, you will notice a sloped rear roofline and the rear spoiler found on the Sport trim. Wheels range in size from 17 to 19 inches, depending on the trim.
Exterior colors vary, depending upon the trim and body style. The Honda Accord has eight available colors: Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, San Marino Red, Sonic Gray Pearl, and Still Night Pearl.
The Honda Accord’s interior is roomier than you might expect, especially when it comes to the rear-seat legroom. Many other vehicles in its class don’t have as much space, but in the Accord, five people can sit comfortably across both rows of seats. The hybrid models have an abundance of space as well, despite the need to accommodate the hybrid batteries. It also has one of the largest trunks in its class with 16.7 cubic feet of cargo space, and you can utilize the 60/40-split-folding rear seat to expand this area.
Heated seats are available in the Sport Special Edition and Hybrid EX trims for the front seat and on the Touring for rear seats. You can also start the vehicle from the comforts of your home with the remote engine start, also found on the Sport Special Edition.
Power and Performance
When determining which engine option to select, you can’t go wrong with either one. The base 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is available on all trims except the top trim. The available 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is available on the Touring model but optionally available on the Sport trim. For all hybrid models, you get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack.
The base and hybrid engine come mated with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the 2.0-liter engine has a 10-speed automatic transmission.
No matter which of the front seats you occupy, you can access the Accord’s abundant technology features. It comes standard with a simple and easy-to-use 8-inch touch-screen display. Located conveniently between both front-seat travelers, the display responds promptly to inputs and is bookended by physical knobs and buttons for the main climate and audio controls. You also gain access to two USB ports, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
How many times have you accidentally left a USB cord at home, realizing you need to use it to connect your phone to the vehicle? Honda took your concerns into account for the 2021 models, and certain Accord trims allow you to connect wirelessly to these smartphone apps. Upper-level trims provide you with additional features including more USB ports, navigation, wireless device charging, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Safety remains a priority for all Honda vehicles, and all 2021 Accord vehicles come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist aids. Some of these highlighted features include lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning. Several available safety upgrades found on the upper-level trims include a head-up display, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also offers a rear-seat reminder, which alerts you to check the back seat for children or animals before exiting the vehicle.
