Carterville Downtown Car Show
Where: Downtown Carterville
When: October 1, 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Details: Come out and see some of the best cars in the area. There’s a full car, truck, and bike show, plus a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. You can also grab something to eat with free chips and hot dogs while supplies last. Finally, stick around to the end when they award trophies to the top 10 and Mayor’s Choice.
Elks Car Show
Where: Marion Elks Club
When: October 2, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Details: This car show is sponsored by the Marion Elks Club and is in its second year. There will be trophies for Elk’s Choice, Veteran’s Choice, and Best in Show. Bring your car, truck, motorcycle, or jeep for entry, or just come by to see the participants. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and food and drinks available for purchase.
Classic Car Cruise Night
Where: 2625 Ingalls Ave., Joliet
When: Every Monday between May 10 and October 11, from 4 p.m. to dusk
Details: Come check out the weekly classic car show in Joliet. Here you’ll find plenty of vintage cars and hot rods to check out from all over the state. There’s also live music and food to buy from vendors. There’s even car hop service to add to the night.
Downtown Tinley Cruise Nights
Where: Oak Park Avenue, Tinley
When: Every Tuesday from June to August, 5 p.m – 8 p.m.
Details: Another cruise night takes place in Downtown Tinley. This event also features classic cars from all over. Parking is limited, so if you plan to attend, get there a little early. If you’re bringing a show car, enter from the 171st Street parking area. There’s no entry fee to attend this event, plus plenty of food and beverages on sale.
Beecher Cruise Nights
Where: Beecher Chamber of Commerce
When: First and third Wednesdays of each month from June to September, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Details: Come to check out some great classic cars. At this event, there are some restrictions as to the type of cars that are on display. There are no loud pipes, loud music, burnouts or hydraulics allows. In addition to the classic cars, there are typically door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Tire Swarm Car and Bike Cruise
Where: Brauerhouse, Rt. 53 and North Ave., Lombard
When: Every Thursday Night
Details: Visit this frequent car and bike show that’s celebrating its 10th year. Every week, there are cars and bikes to see, along with live bands. There’s no cover to get in plus plenty of drink specials, making this a fun night to help get you through the week.
Adventure Cruisers
Where: 2425 Hillsboro Road, Vandalia
When: Third Saturday of every month, in the evening
Details: Classic cars, trucks, bikes, and more every third Saturday throughout the year. You’ll also find a 50/50 drawing, music, and giveaways at each event. Finally, at 6 p.m., they take a cruise of Old Capitol City — you won’t want to miss that.
Rally Around the Tower
Where: 100 E. Washington in Millstadt
When: September 25 from 11 a.m to 3 pm
Details: Come to this classic car show around the base of the Millstadt water tower. If you wish to enter your vehicle, there is a $20 fee and registration is between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will be trophies awarded around 3 p.m., plus music and food throughout the day.
Scott’s Charity Car Show
Where: 810 W. Van Buren St. Clinton
When: September 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Details: Visit this car show which benefits a local camp through the community YMCA. This car show, which is in its 15th year, offers special awards such as best in show and participants choice. There’s also a free shuttle that can take you right over to the apple and pork festival if you want to grab something fun to eat.
Village Car Show
Where: Asbury Village Parking Lot, Godfrey
When: October 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Details: Another charity car show, this one benefits The Walk to End Alzheimers. This car show also has live music, hot dog lunches available for sale, and several raffles. There’s a $15 entrance fee for show cars, but otherwise, it is free to attend.
Oktoberfest
Where: Dupage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd, Wheaton
When: October 2 – 3 from 9 a.m to 1 p.m and 10 a.m to 2 p.m
Details: In addition to a car show, this is a full carnival, with raffles, food, drinks, live music, beer and wine tastings, and much more. The car shows take place in the morning, with classic cars on October 2nd between 9 am and 1 pm and all other cars, trucks, and vans on October 3rd between 10 am and 2 pm. All profits from this carnival go towards the non-profit NAMI DuPage, which works to end the stigma around mental illness.
St. Mary’s School Car Show
Where: 111 Deer Path Lane, Chester, IL
When: October 16 2021, 11 a.m to 3 p.m
Details: The proceeds from this car show go to benefit St. Mary’s School. Here you’ll find live music, a 50/50, raffles, and plenty of concession stands. There’s also plenty of awards to give out, such as Best GM, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best Paint/Graphics, Mayor’s Choice and Principal’s Choice. Registration to enter begins at 9 a.m and costs $15.
