2021 Honda Civic Interiors

April 8th, 2021 by

The Honda Civic refuses to be defined by labels. Its name badge has a long history dating back to 1972, but the Civic is far from aged or stale. It is a compact car, but its interior feels like that of a larger car. The 2021 Honda Civic interior features are impressive, and they only get better with each of Civic’s five available trim levels. Let’s look at some of the features and capabilities you’ll find in the newest Civic.

The Civic comfortably seats up to five adults, and the word “comfortably” is no exaggeration. The Civic leads its class in front-seat room. The front row head, shoulder, and legroom are just over 39, 57, and 42 inches, respectively. The rear row of the Civic is also head and shoulders above the rest, with room to spare. You’ll enjoy more than 37 inches of headroom, 55 inches of shoulder room, and 37 inches of legroom in the rear of a Civic.

Even the trunk capacity of 15 cubic feet outpaces that of Civic’s competition. If you opt for a Civic hatchback, your rear cargo capacity spans more than 25 cubic feet with the rear seats upright and 46 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Speaking of folding those seats down, you can fold the entire rear seat down at once with the EX trim. Choose any of the other trim levels and enjoy the 60-40 folding rear seat for added versatility. Have children? Keep them safe by tethering their car seats to the two available LATCH systems.

Civic Safety Features

Child safety isn’t the only safety feature equipped on the 2021 Civic. Honda cares for every person who drives or rides in its vehicles and equips those vehicles with the best in safety technology. Every Civic comes with Honda’s Collision Mitigating Braking System and automatic high-beam headlights. The Road Departure Mitigation system detects when you change lanes without signaling. The Civic’s steering and braking systems then work together to return you to your lane and out of harm’s way.

The list of available safety features does not end there. The blind-spot monitoring system, dubbed Honda Lane Watch, is available on select trim levels. Honda Lane Watch includes a small camera mounted to the passenger-side rearview mirror that displays your blind spot when you activate the right tum signal. Additionally, the EX-L and Touring trims have an automatic dimming rearview mirror to keep the headlights of vehicles behind you from blinding your vision at night.

A rear backup camera is standard on all new vehicles, including the Civic. This safety feature has helped drivers avoid accidents each day. But did you know the Civic offers more than just your standard rearview angle? Along with the normal view, the Civic includes a wide view and a top-down view for a total of three possible views of what is behind your vehicle.

The Touring trim level features the maximum in available safety features, including automatic LED headlights for enhanced visibility for you and other drivers when the sun goes down. The Touring trim also includes rain-sensing windshield wipers, helping you focus on the road when weather conditions change during your drive.

Civic Amenities

Let’s now look at the amenities that make the Civic so enjoyable. All 2021 Honda Civics feature stylish cloth seats, but if leather seats are more your taste, upgrade to the EX, EX-L, or Touring trim levels. Take the chill out of frosty mornings with available heated front seats. The Touring trim extends the heated seat amenity to rear outboard passengers. The 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, available in the EX, EX-L, and Touring trims, ensures you get the comfort and positioning you desire when behind the wheel of your Civic. The front passenger of a Civic outfitted with the Touring trim can enjoy a 4-way power-adjustable seat. You’ll further enjoy the drive with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, available on the Sport trim level and higher.

Ride in comfort thanks to automatic climate control, standard in every Civic. Upgrade that climate control to an available dual-zone feature or enjoy a spectacular view via the optional one-touch moon roof. Enjoy music? The Civic’s audio system ranges from four to 12 speakers, depending on the trim level you choose.

If you enjoy convenience, Civic has something for you, such as an optional push-button or remote start feature. The Smart Entry with Walk-Away Auto Lock secures your Civic and only unlocks the doors when you and your “key” fob are within a short distance from the vehicle. Want another convenience? How about never again having to tug on the parking brake lever? You can set the Civic’s parking brake with the simple and easy push of a button.

Civic Technology

Technological features are a must in today’s vehicles. The Civic excels in the technology category. Its 7-inch display is more than just a pretty face. Within its attractive interface are Apple Car Play and Android Auto capability (Sport trim and higher), satellite radio, tum-by-turn navigation, Honda HD digital traffic, hands-free capability, and voice recognition. If you choose the Touring trim level, you will gain an 8-inch display, and the LX trim contains a 5-inch display.

Civic Accessories

Honda accessories further personalize your Civic, adding functionality, protection, and intrigue. Be sure to request these accessories when you buy or lease a Civic. For instance, enjoy the functionality of the wireless charging station. Protect your Civic’s carpet with all-weather floor mats and trunk mat. Illumination for the armrest, console, and front footwell adds a cool soft blue hue to your interior that makes night driving thrilling.

Kelley Blue Book named the Civic the 2020 Best Buy in the Compact class. With standard features and amenities like those listed above, it’s no wonder the Honda Civic received such accolades. But as the saying goes, seeing is believing. We invite you to research Ike Honda’s wide selection of new Civics, then visit our dealership in Marion, Illinois, to experience the Civic for yourself.
